HISTORY OF THE LANCASHIRE HEELER ASSOCIATION

The Association began with a steering committee in 2010 and Tracy St Clair Pearce was our first Chairman. In March 2011 the first AGM was held and further enthusiasts of the breed were co-opted onto the committee to begin the hard work of getting the Association recognised by the Kennel Club. That Committee was ratified at the AGM in May 2012 and Chris Norman became our new Chairman following Tracy's untimely death.

Committee members serve for 3 years and nominations are voted on at the AGM each year. There are 3 officers (Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer) and nine committee members. Each year positions on the committee are up for election by members.

Any offers of help to run the Association are welcomed and if you would like to be considered for the Committee please contact one of the current Committee Members for more information.  Experience is not necessary, but enthusiasm and a love of the breed is. 

We are grateful that Miss Dorothy Malins (Embages) has agreed to become the President of the Lancashire Heeler Association.
